About Military Services

The University of Findlay recognizes and is grateful for the sacrifices that our United States military personnel, and their families, make and have made to maintain our nation’s safety and to uphold our constitutional rights.

We strive to provide financial assistance and services tailored to the needs of our veterans. As part of these efforts, the University of Findlay participates in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Yellow Ribbon Program through which Findlay offers a maximum contribution of $10,500 a per eligible veteran toward the cost of tuition above the national maximum of the Post-9/11 GI Bill® (Chapter 33) Payment Rate designated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Next Steps

Apply for VA Benefits

New students must apply by completing Form 22-1990 (Application for VA Education Benefits) online using the VA.gov website.
Transfer students must fill out a Request for Change of Program or Place of Training VA Form-1995. To complete Findlay’s application process, you’ll need a certificate of eligibility, generated by applying for VA education benefits, which details the amount you are eligible to receive and how long you will receive it.

Complete the FAFSA

While applying for enrollment at Findlay and VA educational benefits, also fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This may allow you to maximize your VA benefit and will help with any costs the VA won’t cover.
