About the Program

Prepare to impact your community and your nation as teachers and leaders. Adding a primary education license to your degree in Ohio allows you to teach children age 3 through grade 5.  

If you already hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, then you may qualify for our post-baccalaureate licensure program.

Off-Campus Field Experience Beginning in Your First Year

100% of graduates are employed in a school or attending graduate school.

Course Requirements

Candidates take the required education courses, depending on the undergraduate degree more content courses may be required. Teacher candidates must pass the Ohio Assessments for Educators tests in content and pedagogy. A master’s degree can be added with five additional courses. 

Candidates complete a six-week all day everyday methods experience and a full semester of student teaching.

University of Findlay’s College of Education is accredited by recognized regional and national bodies, ensuring your degree holds weight with employers and institutions nationwide. The College of Education holds national accreditation through CAEP.
