Multi-Age Education

Middle school students are incredibly diverse. They can be profound, absurd, honest, juvenile, and everything in between. Their writing and conversations reveal wisdom, curiosity, interest, emotion, passion, deep understanding, and free-thinking energy.

About the Program

University of Findlay’s Multi-Age Education Program will prepare you for a career in teaching multi-age students with the ability to double major in education and the field of your choice. The College’s philosophy of embedding theory into practice requires you to begin working with students in classrooms during your freshman year. More extensive field experience in sophomore and junior year prepares you for student teaching in your senior year.

The University of Findlay licensure programs meet Ohio licensure requirements; candidates interested in being licensed in another state need to work with that state’s department of education to determine eligibility for the other state.

Licensure is offered in the following areas of multi-age (MA) Grades K-12

  • Multi-Age Health and Physical Education
  • Multi-Age Visual Arts

If you have already graduated with a bachelor’s degree but are looking to become a teacher, check out our Multi-Age Post-baccalaureate Licensure option.
