The College of Education can support your professional growth throughout your entire career, from earning your initial licensure to earning a master’s degree. Once you have become a master teacher, we can help you attain advanced licensure for principal, superintendent or treasurer. Beyond advanced licensure, we offer advanced degrees with the EdD and EdD in School Psychology programs.
The depth of programs that the COE has to offer adds value to our undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. COE faculty and staff model a collaborative community for educators.

Our faculty members share their experiences and engage you in learning! Our small, private atmosphere gives you the opportunity to get to know your professors, faculty advisers, and fellow students.

Cost of Education
The College of Education offers over 40 scholarships that help reduce the cost of tuition. All undergraduate students receive some type of scholarship or aid to attend. Students seeking licensure in Primary, Intervention Specialist, AYA Mathematics or AYA Science are eligible for the TEACH grant. AYA Mathematics and AYA Science majors are also eligible for the Choose Ohio First Scholarship.

Students participate in one-on-one mock interviews with principals and superintendents, gaining real feedback from professionals who hire teachers. In addition, the annual Education Expo connects students with school districts from across the country, where many secure interviews and job offers ahead of graduation.
The career outlook for educators remains strong. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are tens of thousands of teaching job openings each year due to retirements and workforce demand.
